  What Is It About Children?

  that makes us like/love them so?.

  is it how good they smell or how unpretentious they are?.

  my granddaughter - age 9 - gave me a big smile and hug before i walked out of the door this am.. it felt good then and i can still feel the effects.. children are precious and so wonderful!.

  I don't get it. Why "shame on me" as you put it? I don't wish kids any harm or feel any type of malice toward them. I fully understand how they can enrich some people's lives. I even respect their rights as fellow humans. I just don't like to be around them, nor do I want any of my own. I would rather be able to rake off and go travelling whenever I want without having to make sure that my kids are being responsibly cared for in my absence. I like to go fishing every weekend. If I had kids to be responsible for, (and I AM a very responsible person), I wouldn't be able to do that. I like to be able to take off and do whatever I want at a moment's notice. It's just my lifestyle. What's wrong with that? I don't begrudge anyone for having kids or loving kids. Why am I condemned for having the honesty to admit that kids annoy me?

  Nope. Not everybody has to like kids do they? It really makes my skin crawl to see children throwing temper tantrums and screaming. Doesn't make me a bad guy. I don't, however, like to see kids get abused. I don't even like to see parents spank their kids. I think physical punishment is wrong. They just irritate & annoy me, that's all. But then, I don't have any kids of my own. If I did, I'm sure I ould be singing a different tune.

  I don't particularly enjoy being in the company of children. IMO, they are generally loud, obnoxious, rude, dirty, sticky, stinky, and spread bacteria & viruses. To each his/her own though...*shrug*

  so if someone told you to pick one song that was your all-time favorite, what would you pick ?

  i'd have to say for me it has not changed since the 1971 hit by led zeppelin, " stairway to heaven ".

  I've got a Remington model 710 in .300 Win Mag,

  a Springfield Armory 1911 .45 in stainless with Pachmeyer wraparound grips

  A Romanian SAR-1 AK-47 with black polymer stocks and 2-30 rd magazines.

  A Mossberg 500 12 ga with tactical gear.

  A replica of a Remington 1858 black powder revolver in high gloss stainless.

  I would like to get an AR-15-style rifle chambered in the new 6.8 spc.

  I like the Desert Eagle .50 AE a lot.

  A Styer AUG would be cool although I don't care for the .223 round.

  I think the Franchi SPAS is pretty cool.
